I love going back in time. It’s so fascinating to examine the progress of our ancient river valley civilizations. What’s even more impressive is that we haven’t truly figured out all there is to know about how our predecessors lived. We have many artifacts archaeologists cannot firmly decipher and have only hypothesizes based on their findings. That means, my friends, we still have much to learn about our ancient brothers and sisters and maybe these findings can help the world today.
Here is just a quick sample of what was left behind from the captivating societies that lived in these ancient river valley civilizations .
Religious Statue from the Tigris and Euphrates River Valley Civilizations
(Mesopotamia - Portions of Iraq, Syria, Turkey, and Iran)
Bronze Pot from the Huang He River Valley Civilizations (China)
Pot from the Indus River Valley Civilizations
( Portions of India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Bhutan)
Hieroglyphics from the Nile River Valley Civilizations (Egypt)
In the coming weeks, I will be discussing specific ancient river valley civilizations and investigating their importance to our society. Was there anything archaeologists may have missed or a question that was not raised? Let’s find out together!
